► Student Officers

Student Officers are fellow students who have decided to give up their free time to not only represent your views but also to try and ensure your time at University is the best it can be by organising and promoting different events and activities.
Student Officers have the following duties:

Work voluntarily for Beds SU, contributing (on average) six hours of time per week during term time.

Attend all meetings of the relevant operating committee; each officer sitting on one appropriate committee.

Attend all General Meetings, Student Councils of Beds SU.

Represent Beds SU at National Union of Students (NUS) conferences where and if appropriate.

Contribute to the annual strategic planning process and development of priority campaigns for the coming year.

Support Beds SU events and activities during Freshers, International and Diversity Weeks as appropriate.

Casually promote Beds SU events, especially large events, to their constituency.

Support the annual Beds SU student satisfaction survey by collection of data.

Contribute to the annual Officers’ report to members detailing Beds SU activities over their year in office.

Organise projects, events or similar activities during the course of the year.
